I discovered Iron Horse by accident, surfing around on iTunes. The idea of doing metal and hard rock songs bluegrass-style smacks of novelty, but Iron Horse sounds so sincere, and makes such good song choices, that it works. I bought "Unchained," and I've listened to it 500 times this week (not really, but a lot). Iron Horse succeeds because they aren't making a joke out of their cover songs, they're clearly covering songs they like, and doing a hell of a job with it. Of course it's crucial that their harmonies are sweet and spot-on, and their fretwork is pyrotechnic.
Now, how's about updating that tour dates part of the website! I'd sure like to know if I have a chance to go see Iron Horse somewhere in Massachusetts!

Hey Guys! I just got the GNR album, Ozzy, and the Classic Rock tribute. I continue to be blown away. Since my last post, I have gotten the second Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and Van Halen. PLEASE COME TO TEXAS (preferably the DFW area!)! Keep it up!!!

I am an old school metal head from the bygone 80s ya im a relic now.
I also have always been a closet hillbilly.
I was listnig to a local metal show when I heard bloody sabeth in blue grass style and It was so dam cool I wanted to hear more and I love it its a fresh breath and I will be trying to colect every song you do.
Keep doing what you are doing I will do my part to spred the word.

wow unbelievable i had heard the ozzy crazy train and hero of the day metallica on you tube , but when i found iron horses site and heard guns n roses paitence and paradise city my god chills ran over my whole body and tears were rolling from my eyes it was unbelievable iron horse you are the best in the whole world god i love your music . i had been searching for your cds to purchase now i have found them thank you, i am searching for your 2008 tour dates and hoping you guys come to nc , i have a banjo and violin and im learning to play ,god i wanna be like them they are my idol i worship those guys "iron horse " i want hats t shirts with iron horse band logo on them you guys are awesome

Heard you guys through some folks I was stationed with in Japan. Can't wait to get back to the South so I can catch you live. You should consider starting a mailing list, unless you already have one that I somehow missed.

I love your stuff. You guys are excellent musicians. My dad loves it, but hates metal. He can't understand how I know all the words to these new bluegrass tunes. Keep it up, you guys are deadly.

You guys are bad. When are you going to play in CA? I know there are not a lot of bluegrass fans out here, but you can probaly find some on Camp Pendleton. All my Marines think your albums are awesom.
